Course Description: This comprehensive course is designed to equip higher education professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary to address the pressing issue of low graduation rates among Black men in higher education. Acknowledging the unique challenges faced by this demographic, this program provides educators, administrators, and advisors with actionable strategies to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key Learning Objectives:Understanding the Challenge: Explore the historical and sociocultural factors contributing to the lower graduation rates of Black men in community colleges.

Cultivating Inclusivity: Develop inclusive practices and curricula that support diverse learning styles and experiences, creating an equitable educational atmosphere. Mentoring and Advising: Learn effective mentoring and advising techniques to provide individualized support and guidance to Black male students. Building Community Partnerships: Understand the value of forging partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and local leaders to create a network of support.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analysis and assessment tools to identify areas of improvement and evaluate the impact of interventions.
