About This Course
The purpose of this course is to learn about the role and responsibilities of a production designer and art department involved in a video project, be it a television program, a telefilm or a television commercial. The aim is to hone an aesthetic sensibility within students to identify what colors, props, and sets suit a particular genre of a production and its creative brief. The course will enable students to understand the concept of principle of design.
Students will gain an understanding of the designing techniques and will develop understanding regarding colors and their psychology. The course will assist students to understand the psychology of character and then to create the visual representation according to it. Students will be able to create the color palette, situations, and all the necessary details needed for the character.
The course will enable students to develop an understanding of mise-en-scène and its importance in production. The course will engage students in thoughtful discussions regarding contemporary culture of films. Students will able to understand each frame properly and will be able to create a scene according to the script and theme of the film.
The course will assist students in learning new techniques in filmmaking.
