This course will have five lectures that are:Introduction to Biochemistry- which will teach you about the backbone of BiochemistryCarbohydrates that will help you in understanding their properties, structure and types of carbohydrates such as monosaccharides, disaccharides and polysaccharides will be explained. Examples of each type of carbohydrate will also be discussed.

Proteins- how proteins and formed, the four types of protein structure and their importance in living systems. Lipids-The types of lipids, the structural representation of some major lipids and there function will be explained. Nucleic acids- What are nucleic acids-DNA, RNA.

Structure of a nucleotide that makes up nucleic acids. Brief explanation of the structure of a DNA and RNA. Functions of nucleic acids will be explained.
