GitLab

Unlike GitHub, which grew outwards from code hosting, GitLab set out to hold the whole delivery chain in one application: repositories, merge requests, CI/CD pipelines, a container registry and security scanning. Organisations that must keep code on their own servers often run its self-managed edition. Pipelines live as YAML in the repository, and on a self-managed install the runners executing them are machines the team must maintain.
