Snowflake offers a cloud data warehouse that separates storage from compute, so teams scale query power up or down and share data across accounts without managing hardware. Analysts and analytics engineers write SQL against it, often through dbt, on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. Because compute is billed while it runs, a forgotten warehouse or an inefficient query shows up directly on the invoice.
