Swift

Apple's own language for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Watch apps has replaced Objective-C as the default for new code and pairs with SwiftUI for building interfaces. Anyone aiming at the App Store learns it. Swift is open source and also runs on Linux, though outside Apple's platforms its ecosystem is thin, so choosing Swift largely means choosing Apple.
