Health & Wellness Courses
Study healthcare, psychology, fitness, and wellness for professional medical careers or personal health optimization
Health and wellness is the category where the gap between a course and a licence can be a legal one. The four sections below hold fitness and instructor training, clinical background reading, stress and psychology courses, and complementary practices, and none of them has been reviewed. What the page adds is what each section holds as it stands and the single check that matters before paying for anything in it.
Not medical advice
No page in this category, and no course reached from it, is medical, clinical or therapeutic advice. Anything affecting your health, or anyone else's, belongs in a conversation with a qualified professional in your own country rather than with a video course.
In most fields the gap between a course and a credential is a career question: the certificate opens a door or it does not, and the cost of a wrong guess is time and money. In health the same gap can be a safety question and, in many countries, a legal one. Several of the occupations these four sections touch are regulated. Who may practise, under what title, and after what training is set by a professional body or by statute, and a certificate of completion from a learning platform does not alter that.
What each of the four sections holds
Fitness & Physical Wellness is the largest section: training and nutrition plans, yoga and Pilates, and instructor training in massage, senior fitness and yoga for children. It is the section most likely to lead towards a recognised qualification, but which body recognises what varies sharply between countries, and gyms and insurers usually name the bodies they accept. Medical & Clinical is background reading and administration for people who already work in or study healthcare, from forensic medicine and healthcare ethics to hospital management, with a nursing assistant diploma among them; it is not a route into clinical practice. Mental Health & Psychology is led by stress management, mindfulness and herbal or Ayurvedic remedies for anxiety rather than by psychology proper, and practising as a therapist or counsellor is regulated almost everywhere. Alternative & Holistic Health is mostly Ayurveda, cupping, aromatherapy and naturopathy, with no single standard behind any of it and claims that vary from one listing to the next. Before paying for anything in these sections, find out what the body that regulates the work in your own country recognises, rather than what a course page says it is equivalent to. That check is worth more than any comparison of syllabus length, and it is the one most people make after buying instead of before.
A listing in this category is not an endorsement of any claim a course makes, and the course content has not been clinically reviewed.

Frequently asked
- Can a course in this category qualify me to practise?
- In a regulated occupation, not on its own. Whether you may practise, and under what title, is decided by a professional body or by law where you live, and what they accept is often narrower than what a course page implies. Ask the regulator before you spend rather than afterwards.
- Why list health courses at all if they are not assessed?
- Because Udemy's catalogue includes them, and hiding whole sections would misrepresent what the directory contains. Marking where the expertise ends is more useful to a reader than implied authority. The categories with written verdicts are hosting, certifications and digital work.
- Are the claims in these courses checked?
- No. The content is unreviewed, there is no clinical expertise behind the listing, and a listing endorses nothing a course asserts. Apply the scepticism due to any unverified source, and treat confident wording as a reason to check rather than a reason to trust.
