About This Course
Emotional intelligence has been attributed as the skill most associated with both personal and professional success. Yet, how often do we think about our emotional intelligence and the impact it has on our lives. How often do we practice emotional intelligent skills.
Emotional intelligence is often mistaken for how friendly a person can be with others; however emotional intelligence is much more complex than that. Emotional intelligence is actually the ability to recognize and understand emotions in yourself and others. It is also the ability to be able to respond in the most productive manner for our highest good as well as the benefit of the other person or people involved.
Emotional intelligence focuses on both self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, and relationship management. During this workshop, we'll delve into specific skills to increase emotional intelligence, and the real-life applications of emotional intelligence in your day-to-day life. Skills covered during this workshop include emotional literacy, ability to respond vs.
react, and empathy. As a result of these skills and the awareness and management of emotions, we are able to make a difference by being rational, mindful, purposeful and realize the desired results we seek. People begin to notice that their influence increases, they're able to inspire themselves and others, they're recognized as leaders, and they are sought out as mentors, coaches, and teammates.
